Banned Books Week

Banned Books Week is hosted by the American Library Association during the last full week of September.

This event started in 1982. Banned Books Week is intended to encourage readers to examine challenged literary works and to promote intellectual freedom in libraries, schools, and bookstores.

The American Library Association has compiled a list of the 100 Most Banned Books in the US in the last decade. We have posted this list and highlighted the books in our collection, for your convenience. And of course, we are always happy to request an Interlibrary Loan for any book that you'd like to read.
